Experience

Founded RightNow in 1997 and took the company public in 2004 with one of the year's most successful initial public offerings; RightNow stock rose 130 percent that year. RightNow has enjoyed continuous growth since inception. Today, 1,900 consumer-focused companies around the world count on RightNow to deliver superior customer experiences while simultaneously reducing operating costs. Greg also published, Eight to Great: Eight Steps to Delivering an Exceptional Customer Experience in 2008. Founded Brightwork, a pioneering developer of network management applications, in 1986. With 75 employees and software installed on more than 150,000 Novell systems worldwide, Greg sold the company to McAfee Associates in 1994. He was retained by McAfee to run its North American operation. Greg began his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories.

An industry leader and sought after speaker, Greg has been a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University , Cornell University, London School of Business, Manchester School of Business, and Warwick School of Business. He also delivered a commencement speech to the 2007 Montana State University graduating class.

A serial entrepreneur, Greg is the author of Bootstrapping Your Business: Start and Grow a Successful Company with Almost No Money. He founded Bootstrap Montana, a program to help entrepreneurs learn the principles of bootstrappingand provide micro-loans to rural Montana entrepreneurs (http://www.bootstrapmontana.org/).

Richard Allen

Richard E. Allen has served on our board of directors since May 2004. Mr. Allen was the Chief Financial Officer of J.D. Edwards & Co. (now PeopleSoft, Inc.), an enterprise application software company, from January 1990 to August 2003, and had held several senior management positions and titles since joining J.D. Edwards in August 1985. Mr. Allen served as a member of J.D. Edwards' board of directors from September 1991 to July 2003. Prior to joining J.D. Edwards, Mr. Allen served as controller for Luff Exploration, an oil and gas exploration and production company, from 1982 to 1985, and as a senior accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, a public accounting firm, from 1979 to 1982. Mr. Allen holds a B.A. degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Colorado State University.

Gregory Avis

Gregory M. Avis has served on our board of directors since December 2000. Mr. Avis has been a founding managing director of Summit Partners, a private equity and venture capital firm, since 1990. Mr. Avis also serves on the board of directors of Ditech Communications Corporation, a telecommunications products developer, and serves on the board of directors of several privately held companies. Mr. Avis holds a B.A. degree, cum laude, in political economy from Williams College and an M.B.A. degree with Distinction from Harvard University.

Thomas Kendra

Thomas W. Kendra was appointed to our Board of Directors on March 30, 2007. As of February of 2009 Kendra became the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at CA, Inc. (formerly Computer Associates), he is also a general manager of the PPM Clarity business unit at CA. Mr. Kendra currently serves on the board of directors of Pareto Networks, a provider of SaaS based networking services and is also on the executive board of directors for ACG Silicon Valley, a global association committed to growth and development of businesses. Kendra was the group president of the Security and Compliance Group at Symantec Corporation until July of 2008. Prior to this position, he was the group president of Worldwide Sales and Services. Before joining Symantec in January 2004, he spent 26 years at IBM, where he was a member of their senior leadership team.

During his career at IBM, he held executive positions in software, hardware and support. In his role as vice president of worldwide server sales, he delivered significant share gains and nearly $13 billion in annual revenue. Other executive positions he held at IBM include vice president of marketing and sales for the database division; vice president of software for the Western United States; and director of support and services for IBM's U.S. software business.

Kendra received a bachelor of science in business administration from Indiana University in Bloomington.

William Lansing

William J. Lansing has served on our board of directors since April 2000. He is now CEO, President and Director of InfoSpace, Inc., a developer of metasearch products. Mr. Lansing was Chief Executive Officer, President and a director of ValueVision Media, Inc., a direct marketing company from December 2003 to October 2007. Mr. Lansing was a general partner of General Atlantic Partners, LLC, a private equity investment firm, from 2001 to December 2003. From 2000 to September 2001, Mr. Lansing was the Chief Executive Officer and a director of NBC Internet, Inc., an Internet portal company. From 1998 to March 2000, Mr. Lansing served in various positions for Fingerhut Companies, Inc., a direct marketing company, including President and Chief Executive Officer. From November 1996 to May 1998, Mr. Lansing served as Vice President of Corporate Business Development for General Electric Corp. and was a member of General Electric's Corporate Executive Council. From January 1996 to October 1996, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Prodigy, Inc., an online service company. From 1986 through 1995, Mr. Lansing was first an associate and later a principal at McKinsey & Co., a management consulting company. In addition to serving on the board of directors of InfoSpace, Mr. Lansing serves on the board of directors of Digital River, Inc., an electronic commerce solutions provider and Fair Isaac Corp., a decision analytics company. Mr. Lansing holds a B.A. degree in English from Wesleyan University and a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.

S. Singh

S. Steven Singh joined our Board of Directors on October 14, 2009. Mr. Singh, age 47, is currently the CEO of Concur (NASDAQ: CNQR), helping organizations to globally control costs by automating the processes they use to manage employee spending. Mr. Singh has served as Concur's CEO since 1996, as director since 1993, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since September 1999. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Singh served as General Manager of the Contact Management Division at Symantec Corporation, an international technology firm focused on protecting information and computer systems.

Allen Snyder

Allen Snyder brings 30 years of high tech management experience to the RightNow board of directors. Snyder is currently the CEO and a director of Aepona, the leading supplier of telecom service layer products and solutions.

A telecom and IT industry veteran, Snyder was the president and chief executive officer of Carrier Access Corporation. Snyder also served as chief operating officer for Openwave Systems, Inc. In his role at Openwave Systems, Snyder was responsible for all product development and customer facing operations. His oversight included worldwide sales, partnerships, product strategy, product development, and service and support for 1000 of the company's 1400 employees.

Before joining Openwave, Snyder served as senior vice president of Oracle Support Services, Americas which included sales, service delivery and business management for approximately $1.8 billion of support services business. Before Oracle, he was vice president of operations, Worldwide Customer Services at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Snyder received an associate degree in electrical engineering from the Community College of USAF, and an Executive Management Development Certificate from Northeastern University.
